Excellent question, One I'd like our Government to answer. The toys made in forgien countries are not under strict regulations as the US manufacturers, therefore, cheaper and toxic in some cases. The whole infrastructure of our pharmaceutical companies, health insurances, is a multibillion dollar business. The bottom line is not concern for people being able to afford the medicines they need, and no concern for the safety of children with toxic toys...the dollar sign and profits rule, not the average citizen.

Lobbyists.
Funny thing about the states. There are lobbyist for tobacco, gun, pharmaceutical, and alcohol. However there are not any out there lobbying for the safety of your children.
The main reason is that your child's safety does not pay well. The most lucrative scenario is that you child gets sick from the toys they imported from china so you will be forced to buy overpriced patent medications from the pharmaceutical companies.

Must be because America is the land of the free. Safe Canadian drugs clearly threaten the free market ,not sure how but I'm sure someone in the white house can explain that.
If you don't have the freedom to be poisoned, see also the loose American food safety laws (grow hormones in cattle for example are outlawed in Europe) you don't have freedom at all.
It's that or communism. Let freedom ring lmao

You can go into Canada and Mexico and buy Canadian drugs if you want.You just cannot order them through the mails. I did it all the time as well as many of the retired people during the winter in South Texas. Was perfectly legal as long as the drug was legal.

The bad toy issue is being dealt with in China and here at home. Mattel Toys issued an apology to China because it was them who had them cut corners and China simply did not know.
The Chinese government has put it on the fast track to fix the problems.

Includes huge Military contract support previously went to Republican's and then Obama. See, Campaign Finance Reform does not include a Clinton. Somehow they are always exempt.
Same for China and her husbands revisions of trade laws and so forth.

It is all about profit.....the big drug companies are in it for the money, even though they may not have produced a drug that is any better than generic. A vast portion of the expense for a drug company is to hire sales reps that shower doctors with food, gifts, free samples, anything to entice them to prescribe their drug....

Isn't that crazy - our elected officials tell us it's IMPOSSIBLE to regulate the pharmaceutical companies, yet Canada has proven it can be done.
