my gf is comming back from her short trip tommorow. i want to suprise her with some flowers and earings (not diamonds). is this a good gift. im also gonna take her to carnival next week.

I think that's very nice of you...I personally would be happy with just flowers, even!! Thinking of her (and missing her) is the best gift of all.

Well, if she is the one that went away from you, i think it's fair that she's the one to bring you a gift..
But now, i don't know how long you both are together.. and if you did bad things..
In that case yeah, i think flowers and earrings are fine, but better be shopping with her and look at hints (oh! these are wonderful) and then make notes ^^ that way, you won't buy her things that she will feel obliged to accept and wear even if she don't like them!
Carnival is a fun time for both of you, so, go for it and have a blast!

You can never go wrong with flowers - unless she is like me and has allergies!!!!!!!!!!! Earrings are good too - but make sure that they are at least hypoallergenic if for pierced ears!
I do not know how long she has been away - but that should be enough as a welcome home gift. Have fun at the Carnival!

Yes, that is a very good gift.
I would suggest you keep the reciept for the earrings in case she doesn't like the style, then she can change them, check that you can do this if you haven't bought them already - that may sound ungrateful but it just saves any embarrasment. (Unless you are pretty sure she will like the ones you have chosen)

flowers are good but make sure that the earrings dont look cheap. and if she likes carnivals then your on the right track!

They are great gifts & you are so thoughtful. It doesn't matter if the earrings aren't diamonds, because she has a real gem...you. It's the thought that counts. Your gal is lucky to have such a thoughtful guy as you. :)

Yeh but don't like make a big deal of pulling out the box and opening it up - she might think it's a ring and run a mile - or worse, she might start screaming "yessss!!"
