How can I soundproof my ceiling and walls?

all answers are acceptable......though if you also know how I could make it look back the way it was while in the process....like plaster or something??

Buy soundproofing material from music stores like Musiciansfriend.com. It can get pretty expensive though, so you have to choose wisely where to put it. You do NOT need it to completely cover the walls.

get a ceiling tile, fiber type place them on the wall and celing with stright pins, then when you remove them there will not be any noticable holes,
