I just got something from my heating company (NSTAR) about locking in my price per therm for the gas supply charge portion of my gas bill for the winter heating season. They offer a fixed price of 0.9999 per therm. Currently it is 0.9799. Any advice about this, we all know heating apartments is gonna be bad like last year?. If I can save anything it will be a help???

I would recommend locking in to the fixed price situation. I checked my bills from last winter (Boston, MA), and the cost was 1.19347 per therm. The difference between .979 and .999 is minuscule.

Only way to get an idea is if you have bills from last year to see how much the cost increased during the winter months.
