Rejection, failure. Being unable to do his share in earning a livelihood for his family or the family he wants to have, because society hardcoded in him the need of being "the strongest pillar in the house". Have a family, because even if he can feel to be an adequate bf or lover, he feels that being a father and an husband is something more complex, and if he screws, he'll screw an entire family.
Once in his life, the very moment in which he stops to be a boy, with a father, a mother and a faithful crew or no-gooders beer-drinking tv-watchers dude always at his side, and becomes a man, with other people on his watch.

lol - as a bald guy who has a strong gf(globe trotting musician/therapist/trainer) i'd have to say spiders and unkempt bikini lines...maybe there's a link there huh? =P

but also - most men are scared of humiliation and other strong, difficult emotions - there's a theory that it isnt so much that men are less well equipped to deal with emotions than women, rather men experience emotions more 'viscerally', deeper than women who seem able to play with this content in the context of a society that ratifies female emotionality and degrades male emotionality.

and i'm not a marxist or a christian btw. =P
