how to guide to painting??

Question

Im trying to find a website that shows pictures of different interior painting techniques and then shows how to do it. So far Im empty handed. Any help??

im looking for the suede and marble look.. maybe thatll help

With all due respect; after applying multiple thousands of gallons of paint; and never having the benefit of the WWW to learn HOW; what is it you need to know?

There are no LAWS regarding techniques; but certainly accepted practices in application for a USUAL paint job.

Cut and roll/ Brush and roller are two very basic beginnings.

I'd write a book, but havent the time.

I suspect however that a WWW search has to turn up something. If you gave some specifics I'd be happy to offer suggestions. IE: alternatives to simple paint jobs.

I will say this however. PREP is as important as any technique one might use. If it takes someone two working days to prep an area that will take less than a working day to paint; the result will likely be far more satisfying.

The learning channel.com - look for trading spaces
bravo.com

All these stations air shows that show different methods. Maybe the info you are looking for would best be found listed under the shows?

If these don't work, try paint manufactures web sites. Like DuPont, American Tradition, Eddie Bower, and search their sites.

PS...also don't forget your local home improvement store. They should be trained in all methods to work in the paint department.
