I purchased a used Plymouth Voyager, to replace my other Voyager who's Transmission went out. The replacement van
needed a dashboard installed, so I took the dashboard out of my old voyager and installed it in the new voyager with a friends help. Now that everything has been slapped back together I found my Cruise Control does not work, Power Locks dont work, Brake Lights are not working, and it appears there is now a drain on the battery of which none of these problems were there before. I did find a small ticking sound down by the fuse box under the dash, and the battery is now competely drained. Does anyone out there have an idea what the problem may be, or where I need to start to find the problem? Thanks in advance for any help in this matter.

if this happened directly after swapping out the cluster, you need to take the VIN from both vans to the dealer to make sure the clusters are compatible. stick the old one back in and see if the problems go away. if it doesn't have something to do with the cluster you'll need a wiring diagram.

No do not go to a dealer! Call a salvage yard and find out if they are interchangeable! There is a likely hood that they were not when you lose that much stuff after the swap.

have you ever checked the wiring around the alternator to establish in case you have any burnt wires ? If the motor vehicle is smoking and you have a burning scent. you have gotten an oil leak someplace. Have the motor vehicle appeared at.
