Hello Matthew Bove,

If you're planning to be a "regular" customer at your local Pizza Shop, I suggest for you to tip the pizza delivery man very good, to especially ensure that your order is always accurate and your food is delivered quickly and hot.

A good tip would be anywhere between five dollars and ten dollars.

I have noticed that when "cheap" customers give the pizza delivery man a "small" tip, like one dollar or two dollars, the pizza delivery man never forgets.

As a result, the next time the "cheap" customer orders their pizza, the Pizza Shop employees may take a longer time to process the order and the pizza delivery man, delivers a cold pizza with the wrong toppings.

-Thanks,
Mauricio

I usually tip around 20% and round up... So the math is easy in your head, and it's a little higher than normal. I take into consideration that the pizza place usually takes good care of us since we order a lot from work, and the price of gas is pretty steep.

On a side note, if it's a particularly large order I don't think I'd ever go over $10 or so on the tip.

Yeah, for pizza delivery it's usually 1-3 dollars. Pizza delivery is a little bit different from restaurant tipping though, since there are oftentimes coupons and discounts on pizza, thus making the total price a lot cheaper than it should be.

I used to deliver pizza. A typical tip was 15 bucks for a $12 pie, keep the change.

I tip $3-5 per pizza depending on how fast the service was compared to what I was told on the phone. I don't order pizza often and will usually order from one of the nicer restaurants.

typically, well, where im from, you are supposed to tip 15%.
But most pizza guys make their money off of tips, so depending on how much you pay.

If its over 30$ i suppose 5 is reasonable, anything under that i'd give 2-4$

Well, since it is pizza, I'll say 10-15% of the bill

I am an Aussie. We don't top Pizza delivery guys/gals.
They get paid to do their job. I would consider it insulating if someone thought they also had to pay me for delivering. Why? I already get paid by my employer. I don't need someone feeling sorry for me cause I have a bad job...
