Can it be that Mt. Washington NH has the worst weather in the world? How is this decided? Anyone?

Well, it does have the world record for surface wind speed, and the wind is generally quite strong up there. I wouldn't argue with them, I think they have a pretty good case. Some places in Antarctica might rival it though.

It's an ambiguous decision. One person's bad weather might be enjoyable for another. Mt. Washington does have one of the harshest climates for an inhabited area on Earth due to its very high winds and normally cold temperatures. I'm sure it would even be worse on top of, say, Mt McKinley or Everest, but those places get just a relatively few visitors once in a while.

It depends on what you consider the worst. There's a weather station in Vostok, Antarctica where temperatures are routinely near -100F and winds are blowing 50+ mph. And I would think it's not too pleasant at the summit of Mount Everest.
