I just had a major brain surgery done last november they had to go up threw my nose and remove a tumour from the back area of my brain right by my spine. They where not sure if it was cancer or not so I had that to worry about as well. Well the sugery was done in a different city then my own so not everyone could come see me and it did make me sad but I understood why they could not make it. I did how ever have my parents and older sister there with me wich helped a lot. I was really scared just like anyone would be in that situation and I half to have another surgery this year sometime for a problem im having with my left hand and arm but im not so worried this time around because I know I have lots of people who care about me and are here or me no matter what. Since your far away and cant be there just make sure to call someone who is waiting in the waiting room for updates on him or her they will hear from that person that you called and they will know you care and it always made me feel good to hear someone called to check on me and was thinking about me. Maybe send a card threw the mail if you can or a lil stuffed animal or something that person can keep with them when they go to the hospital and that lil thing could be you being there for them I think that would be sweet to do and help the person feel better. Good luck to your friend I hope everything goes well I know how they feel.

Tell her that she will be ok. If you think positive then positive, will come. If you worry too much then worst will come. Tell her you will meet her soon after her operation just to reasure her. Phone her and tell her and remind her of all the good times you have had. She will be better and reasured in no time. Make her know how much you care, Good Look!!

Just be there for her Vocally. That's all you can do ultimately. You're not Superwoman. Let her know that if and when she needs to talk to someone, you'll always be her extra ear. Tell her she can be scared, but she's gonna pull through it. Tell her to "Man Up" hehe, j/k

You send (1-800-flowers) a silly stuffed animal and some chocolate, or maybe some flowers that say I love you, Get well soon. There's dozens of places you can get those on the web.

You're a great friend.

call her , e-mail her .let her know even though you aren't there in body , you are there in heart spirit and mind . Say a prayer with her and let her know she is going to be just fine . with all this new technology she will be a champ and come out fighting .. Good luck and I'll say a prayer for her and you for strength !

Tell her that you love her, support her, and are there for her. Then if you are the praying type, pray for her.

If you were there, you'd hold her hand and tell her everything will be ok. Do the same thing from afar.

Just tell her that everything will be okay and you're hoping for the best so that has to count for something, right? If she has a religious association work that into it.

Tell her you'll be there in spirit and you're 100% supporting and watching over her all the way. Also, reassuring her that everything will be fine and that it will all be over before she knows it will help.
