Mainly for the excitement of seeing what horrible situation is going to turn up next, while having a life where horrible situations don't turn up.

it's like a drug people who are afraid of horror movies know they'l be scared but yet they watch them anyway just because they cant help the feeling they get.which is adrennaline.

excitement, thrills and chills those are great feelings knowing that you are in a controlled environment.... i looveee horror movies and anything that can creep me out ;D i think its a psychological thing.

They're an adrenaline rush. It enables you to get scared, but still know that you're safe because it's not real.

because they're eventful and it keeps people on the edge of their seats. Its mysterious, u never know whats going to happen next.
