Ummm... try reseting it. Hold the menu and center button until the Apple sign comes on.

There should be a reset function on it like the other iPods have. Otherwise the problem may be with the battery which, unfortunately, is built in so you would have no choice but to send it in for "repair". More likely than not they would replace it or just do nothing at all, but that problem is real common with iPods and it doesn't always end badly.

it would have merely been too low on value to take place on the laptop. in case you play the iPod till there is quite no value left, it won't take place of the laptop's visual show unit for some minuted at the same time because it recharges that is backup battery. supply it a minute or 2 :)

how long did u have ur ipod?
i heard that the battery dies in about 2 yrs and u have no choice but to replace one, or get a new ipod.

this happens to me a lot
all you have to do is reset your ipod by holding the middle and the menu buttons together for about 10 seconds.
