The day you support suicide and provide justification, you are vulnerable to commit suicide….. Did you know that?
God should have given us the opportunity to talk to dead people, and then you could have seen how they repent after committing that act. I am sure no one would feel it as correct after doing it.
We should eliminate the thought from everyone’s mind.
Many young females use it to threaten elders… they keep on saying, one day they end up doing it.
Many wives threaten their husbands with this. Many males too do it.
Please let us all join together to condemn this act. If any one of you answerer feel that it is only the options available then it is really stupid.
Your answers should justify the person who is thinking of this since long time. Please answerers be responsible in answering this question.

When I was forced to the point where I tired to commit suicide I wanted the pain to end. I did not want to punish anyone; I wanted to escape what was punishing me; depression and chronic pain. I did not want to punish anyone.

Most people who are driven that far feel the same way. They feel that there is no other choice and no other way to end the pain. In a situation like that you are too involved in your own problems to care what else is going on never mind what will happen to the world in general. I didn’t even think of the problem that my corpse and my suicide would cause my family. I won’t say I was self-centered I felt that the problem was all consuming so there was nothing else and no other world but my own.

Suicide is a bit of a selfish act because the victim doesn’t think about what is going to happen to the rest of the world when they have to discover his body, deal with the grief, and finally dispose of the body. “Suicide by cop” is a recently popular trend and it wrecks havoc on the emotions, life and health of the police officer who is forced to pull that trigger.

Suicide is not an act of cowardliness; it takes great bravery to make the decision to end your life. Rarely is it easy and no one does it without thinking about it for a long time.

I am glad that I failed, but I can’t help but also consider that as one of the many failures that lead to my problem in the first place. I have been treated and I am no longer suicidal, but many people don’t reach that point. My brother shot himself because of depression and I still have to live with that wound. I wasn’t even home; I was off in the world with my own problems in another state yet to this day I can’t escape the guilt that if I had been there I might have been able to help him and prevent his death. I have to live with that, and if I had been successful the rest of my family would have to have lived with the same guilt.

I am not surprised by the reaction you got form some of your responses; your attitude sounds a bit flippant, but the subject is a deadly serious one.

very few who commit suicide, do so, with the feeling they are punishing the world. They do so for many reasons, most of which are brought on by depression and mental illness. Some reasons: the world/ family is better off with out them causing further misery, financial burdon, etc. Loss of partner/children by tragedy. Loss of Business, can't face family, has let them down, will lose home, way of life, to old to recoup.
Irreversible illness, prolonged pain.
Some with mental illness, cannot comprehend the way humans treat each other, causing them futher confusion.
It might be very common in your country for individuals to use suicide to threaten families and loved ones, but not in my country, here those who do are mentally unstable, and the majority who do have their reasons. NO, most of us do not agree. But that is a very narrow minded statement that all do it to punish the world, very few do, for those, even in mental illness, realise the world does not know they exist, how could it possibley miss them. Be very careful of the judgements you pass on others, for you are still quite young, have not stood alone, nor on your own long enough to learn how fast, furious and unpredictable your life can turn, you may yet walk in another's shoes, or get a chance to experience the judgement you passed on others. And why, pray tell is humanity so damed arrogant and vain, as to believe, they understand and know god, in all his deepest thought, deeds and works. You only know what man told you, not God.

Suicide is not a way of punishing the world...it is an act committed when the person sees no hope for the future and to end their own suffering. Usually individuals who commit suicide are depressed and hopeless and it is an act of desperation. It is not necessarily a cowardly act...it is an act because in our country we do not have enough help for mental health which is sad!

I guess this is how I think about it.

Those people think that killing themselves is the best way to run away from the problems in this world. They don't have the courage to face the hardships that life has to offer. THey think that they are a failure. So they assume that killing themselves can magically solve all the problems. They think that they are punishing themselves though. They feel that they aren't important in this world and they aren't worth it. But what they fail to realize is that part of living in this world is to be able to face the challenges it has to offer with a bold mind. But they don't have that strong of a mind to realize that. They think that they aren't important, and think that killing themselves can help a lot of people. But, they die and never see the pain in their families heart. They fail to see how important they were to other people. They never try an alternative path to succeed.

Life in this world is never easy. It is always a fight. But those who wins are the ones who can face it with a very postivie attitude. Those people who suicide never have that positive attitude. They never look for that positive path. They just want to end their life in this world .

I don't know why people do it. But I hope people understand the consequences.

it could be cause of the problems they face in life, might not want to go on like it anymore. even though we say it is wrong or say the people who have done it is regretting it, have we ever thought they did it or why they feel to do it? when a child threatens parents or a wife threatens husband or when men do it, have we ever thought why a thought like suicide came into their mind? why they felt like suciding? what circumstances made them think of doing it?? we will only be a help if we find out the poblem and solve it. not only them and we would even regrett if it was a close person to us. we will feel part of cause for that person to suicide as we didnt make any effort to solve that problem for them.. it is actually our fault. i we had taken that step to comfort or solve the problem for that person, they wouldnt have done it!!! we r a part of reason for their suicide. not having that kind heart for support is what we did wrong or what we should have done!!! actually we should be blamed. the close relatives will also regret as things they didnt do what should have been done to stop that from happening.

I don't think that most people who commit suicide feel like they are punishing the world, I think they feel like they can't live this life anymore and that is the only way they can solve all of their problems. Most people who kill themselves have serious mental health problems such as depression and they do not think in a rational way, that does not make them cowards.

Having been suicidal myself several times and having spoken with other people who have contemplated suicide, I don't think suicide is about punishing the world. In fact, I would say its more often about just getting out of the way.

Why would you assume to know how a person committing suicide feels. It's more complicated then simply labeling them a coward or attention seeker. It sounds like you want your question to be starred so you can either get points or attention. That is pretty sad.

As someone who's father committed suicide, I resent you calling my father a coward. I guess you are trying to make a point or something, but it really doesn't make a lot of sense.
