how thick should a ploy vaper barrier be for a home foundation?

im doing an addition and i just wanted to know how thick should the vapor barrier be for the home foundation, is 6 mm ok?

6 mil is the norm. Make sure you overlap seams by about a foot. I used duct tape to seal the seams.

4 to6 thousands of an inch or 4 to 6 mils.
