my daughter is 11 years old, she really wants a job for pocket money. her grandmother has a friend that owns a cafe not very far away. she wants to be the person who takes order and makes hot chocolate, or the job with has the youngest age requirment, would having a friend which owns a cafe let her work there earlier? would she be able to get an afterschool job / weekend job or summer job? she wants to work there ASAP what is the youngest age requirment? We like in Wales, North Wales, Towyn
shes really mature and can handle it, but is it illegal?

No, it's not legal, but aside from this, there is the question of insurance. If she should be injured in the cafe (scalded by hot liquids, etc) or attacked by customers, insurance companies won't pay out cos she's not supposed to be there in the 1st place.

My daughter is 15 and because of age differences and the law most jobs are not allowed to hire children until they are 15 with a workers permit, or they have to be 16. Companies have guidelines they have to follow so that they don't get liability suits. I hope this helps.

i not sure . what state your in.to answer that we have a north wales in PA. USA .ask you freind who owns the shop they should now !
