2 things:
1. I find it very amusing that Brass a 'new user' here (from Oct 24th 2007), seems to understand and relate to Zizo Zidan, after just a few days. I have been here 1.5 years, and yet I don't personal details of most users.
Which brings me to my point: If any of you have certain issues with another user, have the courage or dignity to use your original identity, and tell that user exactly what you feel about him or her.
This allows that person a fair chance to defend him/herself, or an opportunity to air his version of things.
2. Why should we doubt what he says about his vocation? Whether he is or isn't a lawyer, has no effect on us, positive or negative. It's he who will have to live with the lie (if he isn't lawyer), and be guilty conscious, not us.
However, I think some users here are too judgemental, or have certain stereo-types (which everyone has to a certain extent). We expect lawyers to speak and write in excellent English, with lengthy and grandiose words.
But Zizo is Iraqi and communicates mostly in Arabic, so we have to exclude him from our usual stereotyping of lawyers.
For non-native English speakers, trying to put forth an answer, reply or argument, is done mentally in his own native language. He or she knows what to say or express, but now have translate it back into English, therein lies the difficulty.
More often than not, we will get a 'jumbled-up answer'. The key to understanding it, is not in the grammar, but the 'gist' of what the person has said.
Arabs are generally sensitive, and have an animated way of expressing themselves. You always tend to see them gesticulating when talking, so it is hardly a surprise, to see a lot of emotions in their written expression, as is the case with Zizo.
