Sadly, no one can make another live a good life. If they are inclined to abuse drugs or take other risks, it is their personal choice. You can't save another person, only yourself.

Probably because you see the good in the person and do not want to see them getting hurt or ruining their lives by using drugs. At times we sometimes try and play the Savior when someone we care for is hurting themselves. But sometimes these things that we are trying to do are rejected and so we must accept this refusal and pray that these others people find their way to a clean life before they get too messed up.

Definitely not what one would have expected I guess to be marrying into or marrying for.
Do your best, and when it's not enough, then either ask for help or do the smart thing and let go.

Always trying to change and play the hero...........doesnt always work...sometimes the best love you can show that person is tough love............quit trying to change them...if they wont then you cant...........best to do is....offer them resources for it.....then leave them alone...........it only drags both down if ones not willing to do it...you cant make them !!!!!!!
