I am 7 weeks pregnant and went to the er because i am spotting and have excessive back pain the doctor checked me and stated that my cervix is still closed but it is a threatened misscairage, it makes me sad because i dont want to lose my baby. Has this happened to anyone and did you still make it through it and have a healthy baby.

I would not worry needlessly yet. My midwife told me lots of women experience some type of vaginal bleeding in the first 20 weeks of pregnancy, and MOST of them go on to experience full-term pregnancies. Only 1/3 of them end in miscarriages.

Take it as a good sign that your cervix is still closed and just try to rest and pray as much as you can.

I will say a prayer for you now, hon. I know early pregnancy can be a time of great worry.

I started spotting at 9 weeks, the ER doctor told me it was a "threatened abortion" and said I had only a 50% chance of carrying my baby to full term. Well here I am 29 weeks, with a very healthy baby and pregnancy. It's good that your cervix is still closed, thats a good sign. Just take extra cautions. Dont lift anything, keep your feet elevated, keep yourself hydrated. If your spotting brown I wouldnt worry too much, some women spot during the first trimester. If it's red, I would call an obgyn and get a second opinon.

that happen with my second pregnancy i was spotting at first had alot of cramping and everything i called the doctor right away and he sent me to the er and examined me and said my uterus was still closed but i could have a miscarriage that he could either perform a d&c or we could wait and see what happens .he put me on bed rest for acouple of weeks and everything worked out i had my son 7 months later and he was healthy so yes you could still have the baby just take it easy and relax whenever you can good luck

I started bleeding at 14 weeks and was afraid I was starting to have a miscarriage. I didn't miscarry, and my doctor told me that a lot of pregnancies can have unexplained bleeding. At the time I started the bleeding they told me to just take it easy, get off my feet and relax, no lifting or anything that would cause straining. "Pelvic rest". My sister in law also had bleeding during two of her pregnancies and went on to have two healthy girls. Good luck and hang in there. Praying never hurts. Pray that baby in!!

If this is your second miscarriage then your doctor should put you on progesterone pills, mine did.

If is your first the doctors won't do anything just a d&c procedure. But right now relax and rest a long as you can!!

Good Luck and BabyDust to you!!
