Is assassin's creed similar to the prince of persia games?

I have seen the trailers for assassin's creed and it looks bad ***! ... but I dont have ps3 or 360 and dont plan on getting it anytime soon but I hear and saw that prince of persia really resembles it.. ALOT. SO Should I get the prince of persia games to get kind of the feel for assassin's creed?

I read about Assassin's creed in this months EGM magazine. At first I was going to get the game for my PS3, but some parts of the game are making me rethink my decision after reading about it. Basically in the game you kill people secretly without getting anyone to see you.

But the thing that is making me rethink my decision is the control scheme. Just to give you an example, here is how the guy writing the article said how you would run along the roof tops with the Xbox controller: First you hold down the right trigger and you have to hold down the A button at the same time and run with the right analog stick and then if you miss a jump and want to catch a ledge you have to press the B button!!!

On the PS3 basically it will be the same way where you hold down the X button and R1 at the same time and run with the right analog stick. And also, I'm used to the character automatically catching on to a ledge not pressing a button for it

Also, I'm used to using the left analog stick most of the times when I play 3rd person games. Usually the right analog stick is used just for the camera.

It is gonna be a lot like Prince of Persia. It's actually by the same company. Just a different team is working on it. I would highly suggest getting a PS3 or a 360 to play this game. Trust me, it will be worth it

actually, yes, but it's actually one in great area, while prince of persia is a huge journey. Abd i'd say y not get both? Bt if u r short of money, get prince of persia cz i heard its a 10/10 game!
