no, this can't happen. here's why. unlike all the other species in earth, humans try to save the weak. they have medicines and offer all sorts of help to ensure the survival of people who have "unfavorable features." in humans, there is no survival of the fittest in terms of physical ability, only intellectual ability. Whether we find a mate or not is almost completely based on personality, so it's not like a buff man is better off. Therefore we won't evolve to have stronger muscles.

and as for the goblin like creatures, all organisms evolve to better be accustomed to their surroundings. whoever wrote that article completely contradicts that portion of the evolution theory. how will becoming goblin-like creatures help us become better-accustommed to our surroundings?

If you are referring to the "beautiful" haves vs the "ugly" have-nots, this isn't going to happen.

There have been many, many opportunities for this to have happened in the last 2 million or so years. What happens is powerful (not just muscled, but economically and otherwise) but maybe ugly men beat up on the rest of the people and pick out a bunch of beautiful women to be their concubines. Look at history and that is what has happened. No reason to think it didn't also happen prehistorically, isn't happening now and won't continue to happen in the future.

"Beautiful" and "ugly" will continue to be mixed together.

I think it is highly unlikely. It is impossible to separate two groups of people and their offspring as attractive and ugly. The problem is that ugly people often have attractive children. I don't mean to insult my parents, they were ordinary, but my sister is movie star beautiful.
