It's suppose to be, but people lie about that kind of stuff all the time. The Amityville Horror was suppose to be true too, but later the second family came out saying that they had done it all for the money.

No, it was not based on a true story. They gave some people a camera and let them go into the woods to make a scary movie or something resembling one. LOL.

Nope. It became a university action picture undertaking that became very primary for its then-unusual type. no one had incredibly finished the shaky-camcorder function action picture previously. Plus, it made it one hell of a good frightening action picture.

nope, it was all 100% fiction even the story of Rustin Parr and stuff.

and there is NOTHING in Burkittsville,Maryland apparently except a lot of disappointed movie fans.
