Most people answering miss the point. Such inanimates and desires like 'Love' and 'freedom', although laudable aren't waht you mean are they?
I would say that it would probably be a work of art since things like gold vary in price but something like the Mona Lisa would be priceless. Perhaps the Dead Sea Scrolls could be considered as they are unique and can never be replaced but contain parts of the bible. Ultimately it's whatever a willing buyer, who had the funds, would be prepared to pay. Imagine, for example, a lock of George Washinton's hair, the knife that killed Julius Caesar, the chalice that Cleopatra dissolved her pearls in vinegar in.

Yo, jenabel, saffron is approx. $40-65 per oz., whereas gold closed at $783/oz. on Friday.
Uh, truffles are expensive, and so is some Chinese teas. And caviar.
Love is the most valuable object in the world, though.

That's hard because different cultures value different things. For example, in India, they believe cows are sacred. In North America, we eat them.
One of the most valuable objects which is valued in many cultures would probably be diamonds. In Africa, they are so valuable, many times they are worth more than human life (Blood Diamond, anyone?)
But think about things this way. Ounce for ounce, the spice saffron is worth more than gold.
So first you must define "valuable".

Can depend where you live - if you live in parts of Africa the right to food and drink could be the most valuable resource. You could own limitless wealth but without food and water what good would they be to you.
Fortunately, I have food and drink and sufficient wealth to survive but without love and good health I would be unhappy and the need for life would quickly depart.
