take as many acting classes as possible. and in between classes audition for plays and student films. do this until you think you are ready for an agent. when that time comes get some headshots taken and submit to some agencies. all of the agencies that arent scams are listed on www.sag.org.

You act. Period. Talent is in your DNA, not any textbook. The more experience you get the better you get. Study young female actors like Alison Lohman (one of the best) and consider the choices they make when acting. Read Shakespeare, Shaw, Ibsen, Beckett and other great playwrights. Go to plays and watch good movies! Ignore the junk (except for fun). Ignore hype and pretend casting agents are all in their underwear. Nothing can take away your talent. If you cannot act, learn a skilled trade. Good luck!

In the UK we have agencies, mine being the Stagecoach Agency who help you look for auditions and other things. It really helps for teenagers who want to go into the entertainment career, like modelling, singing or acting. I know this doesn't particularly help but if you start looking for WELL-KNOWN, TRUSTED agencies first they'll help you with auditions and things later on.

I know google helps. :)

There is no website that has a whole bunch of auditions for blockbuster movies. Try apply for SAG-Franchised agents instead.

The first thing you have to do is to go to one of the performing arts high schools in LA and study acting there. When you have done that you will be ready to go on with acting.
