i am currently making a halo costume for my little brother, he absolutely loves halo and this year for haloween he wants to be non other than the master chief!! well im making his costume step by step. i am almost done but i need to know how to make it durable. is there something i layer on the inside and or outside to make it strong? ive heard all sorts of liquids and such but im clueless. please help!!!

It needs some kind of skeleton, like cardboard or papier mache.

well considering your making it your self and its for a little brother who loves halo (so do i) um well you can put cardboard and layer it up for the chest pads or square pieces of wood and put fabric on top but if you mean make the fabrics then layer up the fabrics and make it strong.
