i was thinking about buying one too(we just got the class ring packet) but when i saw the prices, around 300-400 dollars, i immediately withdrew my opinion. i personally don't think it's worth spending so much on a ring that i probably wont wear on a daily basis. while it is true that it's 'memorable' and a 'once in a lifetime' ring, do you really want to spend so much on ONE thing? you might as well get a yearbook, or a school sweatshirt to remember your highschool years.
unless you're rich , then i don't suggest you spending so much on one ring. .

I thought so since most people look a little silly wearing them after they are older. It's really not much of a status symbol and most people dont really care where you graduated from. I considered how often I wore my high school ring after graduation and decded that I'd rather spend my money on other stuff than a college ring.

If you go to an elite school, their distinctive rings can be like a secret hand shake.

If you go to a regular school, it may bring back fond memories when you wear it from time to time.

If neither of the above applies, but consumer electronics.

(I'm 30 years out and glad I bought the rings. My two adult children bought neither h.s. nor college rings and never regretted it.)

I think so, but I didn't even go to my college graduation. You should spend the money on dishes, towels, furniture, etc for your new life. You'll actually use those.
