Steak is fine, as long as you get a good cut of beef and fix it exactly as he likes it - rare, med-rare, you know. Not always easy and not always tender. Trust your own cooking though.
Lemon meringue pie for dessert. That's what always did it for my guy. And I've held on to him for years.
