My parents claim I was named after Sarah Burnhardt, but I think they say that only when I am being dramatic. If you don't get it look her up. But I think my mom just liked the name Sara and it was sort of biblical which was important to them. Then my middle name is my mom's and cousin's middle name and also came from my great grandmothers name.

I was named after a small island-like town in Alaska called Gustavus.
My grandparents homesteaded their and since there is still yet to be a hospital in the vicinity and everyone leaves town to have children I was the first ever recorded birth.

My first name is the feminine form of my dad's middle name. His name was James LuVerne . . . I'm LuVerna. I guess since my dad didn't have any sons, well . . . SOMEONE had to be named after him!
