Do you give the asker an automatic star? or do you feel they have to 'earn' one?
I usually give everyone one a star, except for the trolls. :)

I give a automatic star unless it is a question i feel just doesnt deserve it, like something rude and crude, but i post lots of questions and i guess i am not worthy of a star as very rarely do i get one either... but i usually always get one..

I give people a star if it is a really interesting and good thought provoking question - in my opinion

I give stars to every question that I thought was fun to answer, or was exceptional and unique. I take the star to be a recommendation for my contacts, and I don't want to innundate my contacts by recommending every crappy question I take the time to answer.
