Whenever someone asks why, if women are paid 77c to a man's dollar for the same work, corporations don't just decrease costs by hiring women, feminists retort that the people choosing who to hire want to hire people who are like them so they hire men.
Why then have companies been moving jobs to countries populated by people of different races because they will work for less?

ALL corporations do what is in their best interest. They don't care about any workers, male or female. They don't care if their products are made by slave labor, child labor, etc. All they care about is profits.

You ask good questions. I am a conservative independent who is also very concerned about the millions of jobs that have gone overseas. Of course, there is not one simple answer. The Corp tax rate is the first issue as it is the highest among the industrialized nations. So I guess that is the first nail in the coffin of job production. Then we have to look at wages and benefits. In my view it is next to impossible to compete with countries paying only a small percent of what we earn here, And throw the benefits on top of that and we have a severe issue in job retention / creation. Your example of GE is a very sickening situation, especially when we take in to consideration that Jeffrey Immall (?), CEO, is on Obama's committee to create jobs. Here his company not only paid NO taxes last year ( incredible to believe ) but he has moved millions of jobs from the U.S. In order to become ( or at least start ) competitive we MUST create a corporate environment where the playing field with other countries is more level. This include closing loop holes which would allow a reduction in the corp tax rate and companies bringing back money and jobs. In addition, Obama's health care program must be fixed so businesses know what to expect when hiring new employees ( cost per new hire ). This fact is re-enforced by the thousands of exemptions the administration has issued to companies that have flat out told the administration the plan would be way too expensive. And a hard issue to address is open borders to all countries. We import a ton of stuff but just try to sell in the same markets, esp China. Maybe, because the U.S. economy has been so big we let all of this stuff drag along because we didn't want to address the issues. That time has passed. Seen the latest news about the "Green" company that Obama used as an example of the "Green Future" that has gone bankrupted? They got millions from the govt ( you and me ) and can't compete with foreign markets. Not even close! I firmly believe the time of the U.S. being the economic leader of the world is quickly coming to an end. Its simply a matter of where we will fall in the new world economy.

Well, I'm a feminist, and I think that argument (the 77c to a man's $1) has been proven not to hold water. Most women rearrange their working lives when children come into the picture which helps to skew that figure, along with other factors.
Companies move their businesses offshore for a variety of reasons, tax shelters is one of them. Also, you are correct in stating that the people in other countries work for less, they also don't carry the burden of union enforced health care coverage and pension plan payments which go up every year. Moving a business outside of the US can be very lucrative regardless of the employees' genders.

Companies that move their jobs to other countries are motivated by their profit margins. Why pay a man or a woman a decent wage in America when they can ship the job overseas where someone would work for $2 a day?
What does feminism have to do with it? Where are you getting your information?
Or...do you just like to blame feminism for everything that is wrong in the world? You make a lot of generalizations in this question and others you have posted.

Most of the jobs that get moved offshore ARE performed by women in those countries. This is true for manufacturing jobs, especially for clothing, electronics, and toys. If you can, watch footage from an assembly line at a factory in China. Nearly everybody on that line is a woman.

Well, the feminists are answering this one in droves...
In order to be promoted, you have to work hard. The vast majority of workaholics are men.
Women set up more very small businesses than men. But men set up more businesses that employ more than one person (i.e the type of business that can make money). Men are much more likely to engage in this high risk/high reward-type behaviour. Another reason why there are more high-earning men.
Women have a biological disadvantage. It's hard for a woman to have a high-flying career and have children, but not so much for men. Couples who have children will normally decide on the male being primary breadwinner (rather than the other way round), because it makes economic and practical sense.
I'm always amused when feminist organisations, such as NOW, disingenously report that women earn 74% as much. It makes them a laughing stock.

Companies hire people who can do the job and generate the greatest benefit-to-cost ratio; Why they still find it worthwhile to hire men over women even though (which is 100% substantiated of course) women are $.77/ man $1.00 should tell you all you need to know.
