It was well known the year they won the CL that had they not won it he was probably leaving and would have cited 'being ambitous' as one of the reasons he was leaving which became impossible to say after they'd won the Cl, do you think he seems happy now ? I do think he's a great player but sometimes he seems a bit deflated , do you reckon he stay at Liverpool for life, and if he does is it out of loyalty for the club rather then because he wants to stay.

I hope so as he's captain of his boyhood heroes and a true Scouse and on great money.
But at the moment it seems he has lost his way a little and he needs to (re)kick start his season against (your)gunners tomorrow.
(it hurts me to say this but) Even thought i luv Stevie G as a player and he is a inspirational skipper IF he was to leave it's would be for the Liverpool cause as Liverpool is bigger than any player.

PS: I can't wait for the big match tomorrow and i truly hope the best team wins.

He is playing with his head down at the moment i think it is more a confidence thing then being happy to be honist and he is probably frustrated with the results. I hope he stays for life and goes on to be a manager or coach. Once liverpool start to win again and he is getting a few goals in aswell we will see the real gerrard

Gerrard said that the reason he decided to stay with Liverpool was because winning trophies with any other team would have meant nothing as none of his friends, family, and fellow scousers would ever really care to see his medals after he retired.
I can see some sense in that.
The trouble is that it's easy to say that once you've won something and the future looks good.

He has said things in the past that have come back to haunt him.

its probably harder now that he has tasted success to stay at a failing club.

he wanted to leave before and if he did he would have had a lot more medals now.

with rafa in charge they never challenge for the league as every thing else is far more important for him.

few players stay forever but you cant see him going to united, and can he play with frank because if not chelsea prefer frank anyday.

who knows maybe a bid from abroad may test him but madrid and italy have shadows of a teams they once were.

He's definitely unsettled and i think its due to Rafa's rotational policy which i think is crap, at the beginning of the season Gerrard was excited at the prospect of playing with Torres but how many times has it happened???? I think he'll stay he's LFC through and through, what i do say is get rid of Benitez, especially while Jose's still about????

If he leaves it`ll be to a European club, cos he won`t go anywhere else in England.

His style of play is still suitable in England. I would like be happy if he can play for Newcastle becoz of his creativity, vision and through passes. Cheers

No and alot of the rest aren't either. Who could blame them, Rafa has lost the plot and he needs to be sacked ASAP.

Honestly he never looks happy but I think his heart is in Liverpool. I'd say that it is Benitez's team selections that make him continuously glum. Just please God don't ever let him go to Man Utd.
