I was shocked to see he was hurt. It must have been when the explosion happened.

I think it will be temporary and that he is going to play it up and than fake it later to get closer to Sharon.

For the life of me, I don't remember seeing Brad get injured. Then I saw him in the hospital trying to find out about Victoria and the baby and the doctors saying they had to treat him. The next scene was Brad with his eyes bandaged and Sharon asking him how he was feeling. He told her it was a temporary thing with the eyes and the doctors were being cautious. Nothing else was said or shown about Brad after that.

I doubt he'd be permanently blind; he'd try to persuade the Newmans to pay for surgery that would correct this.

Why do you think he might be blind?
Did something happen to him at The Clear Springs Disaster?

He's definitely not permanently blind. He'll use it to his advantage though.
