Like he feels he has more power by being egotistical. But if a man feels the need to do that all the time, doesn't it show he is lacking in something?

No, its simply because women aren't, well - the smartest monkeys in the barrell so to speak.

I'M KIDDING, I'M KIDDING. I'm male, and you're right clearly in your sub-sentance. I'm sure some guys have had nothing but hell from their abused mothers (fathers fault) and they are taught the exact same thing...I see it all the time in the country area where I live .

For me an an occasional joke is a way to crack on US - the genius men - by being 100% and totally ironic. Women far supercede men in brain activity, ability to listen, understand, and have compassion - things most guys have little of (I know - I'm one).

What could be dumber and less funny than 400+ years of white male dominance, wrecking the earth, making forced and economic slaves of everyone, even their own wives? Wars alone is proof of idiocy. The Spanish inquistion. Plundering the earths resources for mostly luxury rather than necessity...and oh, haha, thinking they're funny, smart, and doing anything brilliant collectively? Women didnt blaze that path over the planet (except maybe Condoleeza Rice)

So - women jokes are a way for me as a guy to bash the 'typical male' and our history the back way by the sheer & obvious irony of what a waste we've become as a whole.

You can tell someones intention (usually) with such jokes and I don't consider them to people I don't know. Most guys are in fact The Wizard of Oz - tiny man behind the huge front - (ie - George Bush). That being said - my apologies for intro joke...but it was a male-basher.

It sounds like he's just plain a rude person. Some people just can't understand that certain types of jokes can and do offend other people. They lack any manners and it's too bad because good manners get people a lot farther in life than bad manners do. You actually should feel sorry for them because someday, they're going to offend the wrong person and it could have disastrous consequences for them. The moral of the story is that humor is highly subjective and personal and what's funny to one person may not be funny to another. In other words, reserve the joking for people you know well and refrain from doing it around those who aren't your friends or those you don't know well.

Sorry, but whenever someone does something to an extreme then it usually means the motive behind it is one of an extreme. And extremes go from one end or the other. So it could also mean that he feels and is aware of his own superiority in the matter, and not the opposite which you state. It could be one of confidence and not one of lack of confidence, or of anything else.

Maybe, and maybe not.

Some men are egotistical and get quite a kick of slamming the female species, maybe because they don't have respect for women. They might also do it because they don't give a damn about being politically correct and they just want to get a laugh. They'll tell sexist jokes, racist jokes, sexual jokes, jokes about being poor, etc., because a lot of people find them funny.

Someone who relies on sexist jokes all the time is making up for the fact that they have a very poor sense of humour.

He has found the opposite of a chick magnet, something like chick repellent. That may be his ulterior motive. If women stay away, then, he can pretend that he is just too good for them and that they are too dumb to appreciate all his sterling qualities. He doesn't have to play the game because no one wants him on her team.
C. :)!!

People bully out of deficient self image and fear, correct?

So, yes, I believe your point is completely valid.

On the other hand, he could be just trying to fit in with the other fearful, low-self-image, sexually insecure men, but that only makes him foolish.

Char, your answer was clear, concise, insightful, and impressively perfect. Kudos.

If a guy spends most of his time cracking all these sexist jokes against women to whoever is around then most likely he feels unfullfilled, like he's missing out on life, and/or not getting what he wants out of life.
Girls who also feel unfullfilled ,missing out on life, and/or not getting what she wants out of life also cracks sexist jokes against guys.

no. means he is making a joke and attempting to make people laugh. Might not be a good joke and it might harm other people's "feelings", but its just a joke and he isn't showing he lacks anything.

Yeah there is a weakness and it is in his mind and vocabulary. This is a person I probably would not have as a friend or intimate relationship. My thing is that if a friend cannot contribute to you then you do not need them. When I say contribute, I do not mean money or things, I mean happiness, joy, laughter and experience. This person sounds like he is a jerk. Loose him.
