My husband and I had a court house wearing the jeans wedding,well I DON"T regret the day that we got married and I would never leave him.I kinda do want a real wedding not the big puffy dress something simple something small but I also don't want the outdoor bbq wedding either.Our friends llike the "club" type like you know mixed drinks dance music and that kind of thing.Now of courst the parents would absolutaly flip.So what do you guys think I could do that would be a nice compromise?

It sounds like you want a relatively traditional wedding reception. Depending on your budget you could get like a VFW hall (the one where I lived for many years even had steak dinners for $7 - 10 a person.... we had to set up and decorate and clean up - except the dishes. They did all the "kitchen" work). They had a very affordable bar. You could hire a DJ to do appropriate music, or you could coordinate at a hotel "ballroom".... You could set up a small stage or area in one part of the room, do your ceremony and then move right into the reception.

I don't think you should compromise anything. If you're deciding to renew your vows because you find yourself wishing your 1st wedding was more of a 'real' wedding, then don't compromise anything!!! Have the wedding you've always dreamed of!!! This is your life and you're only going to live it once - so make sure you do it right, and do it for yourself and no one else! I think it's a fantastic idea.

I don't know how long you've been married, but in my opinion is for both to take a romantic trip some wear and make a weak end of it just the two of you. Some wedding chapel and do your vows of the heart,then enjoy your weak end doing to gather exploring each others deep love and intimacy as a couple.

well the best way to renew your vows would be to get people who you both would like to join in and renta small but nice place (ask both parents) what they would like and the after pick a place that you and your spouce would like to hang out and have fun, myself and husband renewed our vows, we rented the vfw we live in a small town, family and friends were there then the younger croud went to our fav club and had a blast, parents were happy and so were we and it didnt cost but about 100.00 the main thing is that you too love each and wanted to enclude you family and friends in you happiness...
