Three kids were playing near an old hospital that was under construction. The ambulatory section has an elevator that transports large beds carrying the person to the upper floors.

The entrance of this elevator has a gate that slides open and closes as it is old fashion and rises with a hydraulic pipe that pushes it up much like what you see a car on in a service station being repaired on the lift.
This elevator rises when you press the desired floor you want to go too.
Anybody standing outside of the gate can open the gate and the elevator makes a sudden stop.

After the elevator reaches the top it starts its decent and if you open the gate it doesn't stop till it reaches ground floor.

Children often play with this elevator and one day three kids decided to have fun riding the elevator up and down for fun.

One child at the age of six remained on the ground floor while his friends rode up the elevator. He pulled the gate open and stopped the elevator. His friends hollered at him and told him to close the gate so they could come back down. He did and the elevator started its decent after reaching the top.

This time around the other kid decides to stay on the ground floor and his two friends ride the elevator up. He is also six years old and the oldest was seven.

He trys to slide the gate open as the elevator reaches the top and tries to play a joke on his friends and stop the elevator, but this time the sliding gate was stuck so he forced it open and as he did the sliding gate came off the track and he fell to the bottom of the shaft about 5 feet below ground level.

The elevator started to decend and there was no way to stop it from coming back down. His two friends heard him screaming saying to stop the elevator.

It was no good and they felt him being crushed to death as the elevator hit ground floor.
The boy was literally killed instantly and smashed and with every bone in his body broken. There was blood everywhere, it was horrible. His friends screamed in horror and they sent the elevator back up and looked below to see his body saturated in blood.

They ran to the nearest building and cried for help and an ambulance arrived and the police.

This horrific death could of been prevented had they shut down that elevator and stopped it from running at all and no kid would of died.

To this day his voice at the old hospital is still heard and the sound of his scream being crushed to death comes and goes in his nightmares and dreams.
The kid who rode up in the elevator was me!

From a book called "even odder", which contains the scariest stories I have ever read. It was written by a pastor, I believe, and he signed the book for me.

My favorite was the one about the woman who sheds her fingers and disguises them as peanuts.

Not sure if the book is commerically available, though.

OMG! The story of Charles Manson, and the Manson Family! Look up and read the book Helter Skelter! I wouldn't dream of spoiling it for you, because if you don't know anything about him and their infamous deeds, you need to let that book scare the bejeebers outta you! Just look at a picture of him. His eyes alone will make your heart stop.

He's still ALIVE, you know!

The story of Nazi Germany. (because it can and will happen again if we're not more careful about who we trust as our leaders)

P.S. - Now why would anyone NOT think that that is scary? (humans... I don't get it.)
