What? the 99% of girls? who said that??lol! I'm Spanish and not called María and obviously I'm not the only one!! I think your details are not very reliable!! Anyway María is a nice name, so why should people stop using it?

I don't see any reason why they should. They like the name Maria. No skin off my back. I think people should stop being concerned about what people name their daughters.
