At the craft stores there are "Felting Needles" and the wool roving you need to make dry felting. It is a bit $$$ getting started, but so worth the effort if this is something you would like to try. I bought a starter kit at Hobby Lobby for $6 - a piece of printed felt, 2 felting needles, some roving and instructions. You can also learn some other crafts this way. Just walk up and down the aisles of crafting supplies and look at all that is available. As far as taking care of emotions - bread making by hand is excellent! You need to pound the c*** out of bread dough to get it to the condition it needs to be in to be really good. The kneading process will allow you some creative outlet for bad moods! Then you get to treat yourself with fresh goodies from the oven!

I write stories. I write stories about my life, my thoughts, my adventures. I have written a continuous Saga of my marriage from the first blind date to a couple of Sagas this 27th year. Mostly I write so that my kids and grand kids and great grand kids will be able to read what I was thinking, doing and wishing. I want them to know what their sire was like. As a husband, a father and a human. In my youth our Aunts, Uncles and my Dad and Mom would tell us kids stories during family get togethers. We did not have computers and many of my relatives, my father amongst them, could not read or write. So we learned about our family history and each ones personality and likes and dislikes from stories. This is the way of the Indians to pass on history to the new generation. And with our Indian blood we still do it but now in a modern method.
It also is a stress relieving thing as is most hobbies. Sometimes as I write I can see more than my perspective about the situation and it helps me in my relationships with my family. I would urge all to take up the writing hobby even if it just letters to your kids or parents. I found my mother had kept all my letters from overseas and even my school papers that I had written.

I have made jewelry before in the past, but... I make dolls of varies kinds, footstool/storage box combo, quilts, jewelry boxes, miniatures, doll houses, tissue flowers, and photo album covers. That is just a few of the things right off the top of my head that I can think of. Needless to say there is a lot more stuff that I can and have made.
When it comes to birthday gifts and Christmas gifts, I try to make every thing that I give as a gift rather than buy the gifts.

I've been lucky to inherit crocheting from my mom and my grandmother. My favourite thing to make is doilies and baby afghans. I learned to knit fom library books and have made many styles of sweaters over the years. I also took home ec .in school and have been sewing ever since. I would really like to learn to piece quilt but have too many distractions at the moment. I used to make pinecone wreathes but you can only make so many. I admire the fact you make jewelry with silver. How neat is that!

Used to do a lot of crewel and stamped crossed-stitch, plus sew doll clothes by hand....but that's become hard these days. Now I just dabble....love to make Holiday wreaths and decorations, floral arrangements.....larger projects that are easier on the hands and eyes!
Almost forgot, I also make beaded collars for all the neighborhood cats! Some are fancy, others have to do with the holidays, etc. Just something simple and fun to do.

I love to put "glitters" on my formal dresses the "diamonds" and the beads. The dress looks nice too.
I also have somebody who is so good in embroiderying, so almost all my formal dresses are embroidered then I put the glitters.
The other hobby is transplanting different color of flowers ( I dont know what you call in English); but it's nice to have bougenvillias with different colors in one plant also I like doing it on Addeniums and Euphorbias.

goes on my computer.
I used to cook such good things that took hours to prepare...now I grab a sandwich. How long does it
take to get absolutely sick of
looking at this screen?

I love to go wild with the sewing machine. have saved lots making curtains and quilts and all kinds of clothes for me and the grandkids. In my spare time I like to watch the tele and crochet afghans or doilies. Idle hands tend to get me in trouble. I just become too bored.

I have crocheted for years and years. I've made several quilts and most of my own outfits. I've written poetry and am writing an autobiography. I'm a good cook and love to bake. I've done a lot of cross-stitch too. I've made many flower arrangements, corsages, and bridal bouquets.
