DON'T BEAT HIM!!!! that is so cruel and when he stares at you it definately does not mean that. he just wants attention and maybe food if you don't feed him. if you really think that means you should beat him, than that dog needs a better owner!

You don't beat on the dog. He just wants you attention and some affection. If your eating simply tell him no and move the dog to another room. The dog will learn eventually who time to eat it is. Patience is the key.

When your dog stares at you it wants you to scratsh him or play with him. I know this because I have had many dogs in my life.

When your dog stares at you in the eye, completely ignore him. If a human stares at a canine dead in the eye, they feel challanged and sometimes show aggression. So don't stare back.

P.S. If you feel the desire to beat your dog, then give him a better home, you shouldn't beat your animals.....wish he would bite you though.
