Pakistan militants behead 13 people

Militants seized and beheaded 13 civilians and security officers in north-west Pakistan after government troops launched an assault on a radical cleric's hideout, officials say.

The beheadings took place late on Friday (local time) in the scenic Swat valley in North West Frontier Province, where soldiers clashed with fighters loyal to the cleric, who has been driving a fierce campaign to introduce pro-Taliban laws.

Earlier this week, the military deployed more than 2,000 troops to the region to bolster efforts to crack down on attacks launched against government leaders and security forces.

Provincial home secretary Badshah Gul Wazir says the militants seized three police and three paramilitary officers shopping at a bazaar in Matta on the outskirts of Swat and later beheaded all of them.

The bodies and severed heads were then paraded in front of local residents to scare them, he said.

Bhuddism is the religion of peace. Have you ever heard of a war started by them or any outrageous crimes?

But be careful about Islam. The real vicious Muslims are Wahhabis (and only portion of them) and a few Shiite groups like Hezbollah. These groups, who admittedly make up hundreds of thousands of members, are also suppressing Muslims and murdering them.

For example in Lebanon, any journalist who dares speak out in favor of Israel or against Syria or Muslim extremists is either threatened, maimed or murdered, regardless of their ethnicity or religion.

In Somalia, al Qaida murdered Muslims and Christians alike.

In Pakistan, it's a war of al Qaida and the Taliban against Muslims.

The real violence is really coming from the hands of secular governments like Iran who offer funding to terror groups to serve government purposes, and from Wahhabi (Arab) Imams issuing fatwas to kill Christians, Jews, Bhuddists, and Muslims alike who don't support Wahhabi extremist views.

Violence, in the name of religion, is nothing new. The Bible is full of it, and probably the Koran is also. A good example is the country of Ireland, about which I wrote this little poem a few years ago: The Irish still murder the Irish today,
Fresh blood is staining the sod.
Catholics and Protestants cannot agree,
Which side has the blessing of God!

As a Christian myself, I wouldn't my faith as a whole to be judged by actions during the Crusades, the Inquisition, and even today, with abortion clinic bombings.

We can pick apart any religion as most seem to have histories of violence.
