What does Jesus have to do with getting pregnant?

Human made fertilization is what happens when the sperm joins the egg during intercourse. Intercourse within marriage is what the Bible promotes. For the most part, the Bible is silent on birth control. However, there is a passage in Genesis (38:1-11) that basically speaks of withdraw method and how, in that instance, it was wrong. Other than that, I do not recall any instance that hints or implies birth control.
Some Christians do think that birth control is okay. In my opinion, that is between them and God. The denomination of which my husband and I are members (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) do not speak either way about birth control. For the first five years of our marriage, my husband and I used birth control. About a year ago, we began to question it. As a result, God blessed us with a pregnancy within a few months. I've no doubt that with the way our marriage was the first three years that a baby would have not have been a good thing then.
For my husband and me, birth control,or lack thereof, is generally between us and God.

just because its against their religion doesnt mean they agree with it. as in the catholic church birth control is against the religion, but just because a woman or man use it doesnt mean they dont still love Jesus or beleive in Him.
