I am choosing to answer: "f this site is called "answers" why all the pro-war propaganda on it?"
Because in order to stay ahead of the rebuttals of fact, they need to keep up the barrage of lies. It's the only way they have a prayer of maintaining their assault on freedom - it's right out of the McCartyhyism handbook.

The worst nightmare for a liberal is to have a tax increase voted down !
This troops come home message is really running out of steam. They won't be home anytime soon, so live with it. The democrats wouldn't bring them home either, if by chance the American voters were foolish enough to vote one into office.
For reality sake, compare the casualty numbers of any war in the last seventy years. The casualty numbers of this war wouldn't even compare to a single island campaign of WW II, or ship sinking of a battleship or carrier and there were many !
This argument is not to say that every life isn't precious, yet we still applaud when we hear about a large number of Taliban getting wacked, in Afghanistan. WE still cheer when another al Qaeda leader is killed in Iraq. So, I believe the real issue isn't the fact that some troops get killed, it is that we aren't able to claim victory.

All I know is this,my nephew just joined the US Army. And why did he do that? Because some people believe in supporting America all the time, not just when it's convenient for them, like libs do. The Ultra-Lib America haters just disgust me,I wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire.
By the way, more Americans have died at the hands of Illegal Aliens through murders, drunk driving and such since 9/11 than the number of soldiers we have lost. So if the most important thing is to save American lives how about taking up that cause.

I am a conservative who has spent 4 years of my life fighting this war.
Why do I fight? To protect my country from those who intend to see her destroyed. To protect YOUR right to post this insulting question.
I am NOT Pro-War. I am against war. But I also know that sometimes it is necassary.
If you're logic makes so much sense to you, and I assume it does, try to make sense of this:
According to a Military Times Poll
82% of the U.S. Military consider themselves to fall between the categories of "Moderate" to "Very Conservative"
Only 9% consider themselves to fall between the Categories of "Liberal" to "Very Liberal"
Additionally, 46% claim to be Republican, compared to 16% who claim to be Democrat.
http://www.militarycity.com/polls/2006poll_politics.php
My question to you is this, if only 9% of the people who are FIGHTING THIS WAR claim to be Liberal and only 16% Claim to be Democrat, why do you feel the overwhelming response to this war by those who fight it is disent?
If the vast majority of sevice members fall in the category of those that support this war, why do you feel that your view, based on absolutely NO REAL EXPERIANCE is better than their view which is based on ACTUALLY BEING THERE?
I'm not trying to be a jerk, I'd really like to know how you make sense of that logic.
Logically, I see that the majority of those fighting this war, SUPPORT THIS WAR and think that I'd take their opinion based on real life experiance over yours anyday of the week.
The majority of those who DON'Tsupport this war also DON'T FIGHT THIS WAR.
You talk about conservatives sending Soldiers off to die but neglect the fact that we ALL VOLUNTEERED to join the Military and defend our nation. No one FORCED us to do anything. AND, we're still SUPPORTING THIS WAR.
You say that that you support the troops because you want us to come home now, alive.
The major consensus among service members (that i've spoken to at least) is that wanting us to come home alive is not support, it's being a decent human being. Look at the alternative.
Supporting the troops is doing things that DIRECTLY support us and our mission. Care Packages, Letters, Cards, Donations to charities that help the familes of fallen and wounded soldiers. Volunteering at the VA or other places that help veterans. THAT is supporting the troops.
Calling the mission that we believe in a "failure", telling us that we can not win this war, saying that we're fighting for oil, insulting our leaders and protesting the military is not support.

As an anti-Iraq-war liberal from the beginning, I think we are in the wrong place at the wrong time, and I will be delighted when our troops come home.
To Mahal, I recognize that fatalities are much less than in any preceding war, but total casualties (wounded or dead or missing) are running at the same rate or higher.

Last time I checked, military service members weren't dying in any large numbers. We've been at war in in Iraq now for 4 years, and not even 4000 have died.
We lost more than that every week during WW II, and we lost more than 10 times that in Vietnam.
As far as casualties go, the war in Iraq is the most successful American war on record.
(Oh, I know you liberals don't want to hear this. What I'm wondering is when you're going to stop treating us vets as if we're a bunch of losers? And why do you have to make up losing scenarios to do it? What do you have against us?)

I guess there is a question in there someplace lol. Conservatives care very much for our troops and we pray that they are safe and we pray that they achieve success. Liberal war protesters will say anything against our troops/or the efforts in Iraq. It is not a joke that we have enemies overseas as well as among us.

My answer would be that once again, someone who is focused on one topic has generalized that everyone is against him. I can't really tell from your question which side you're on, but if you just run down a list of questions, you'll find them split about even.

The Army are Marines just met their 2007 Recruitment goals. I am pretty sure we have an all volunteer army.
Of their of free will, these patriots signed up. They know they will go to Iraq. No one is forcing them to do anything.
They certainly don't want a bunch of namby pamby liberals crying crockadile tears for them.
