The first name I thought of was Lizabeth.
Some other names could be Amelia, Evie, Sophie, Tess... Maybe you could look up the meanings of names to find the sort of theme you want to go along with your character. For example, if I were writing a story about a strong male character that was very brave and fierce and stood against evils, I might name him Leon because it means lion.

Just work out a personality for her. Is she independent or has she been very reliant on people? Is she soft spoken or very direct? I think more cutesy names like Sophie could go well with a character with a passive or quiet demeanor. A personality that's independent and more direct could have a name like Meredith or Cassandra.

One more thing to think about is the setting. What period is it set in? What country? Each country has different kinds of names. Also, more traditional names are uncommon these days (like Ira).

something solid - a name that can be shortened to show her growth...ie Melissa (called missy prior to growing up).
