Jesus Christ, not because I'm religious, but just about every genre of modern music was based off of African American spirituals....before that there was a lot of Church music....his morals often show up casually in a lot of music, sometimes without the writer realizing it....and he had a lot of influence in the arts.

Rock music and every derivative of it, including rap, have all drawn from Elvis. He inspired so many people to pick up an instrument and start playing. But he drew from the original blues greats.
