We also have our dark sides but I think because the group isn't really large we treat each other with some respect. We just have no tolerance for the hit and run teenagers who think it's cool to be rude when the only reason they're so brave is the fact they can hide behind an anonymous internet identity.

I would agree. Hockey fans are nice, and we're good looking, and don't forget humble. :)
Seriously though I do think that hockey fans rule and I like that even though we may all have different favorite teams we all respect each others' love of the game.

I think it's because the Hockey section is rather small, which I like, if your a regular, the others know what team you like, how old you are, and where you're from.
For example, the football section probably has a bajillion contributers, were as here, it's pretty tight knit, and small.
But if someone comes in and starts crap, especially with one of the regulars, they'll get the rath of all of us, I like that.

Sure as a rule we Canadians can be nice sometimes but hockey brings out our hidden passions and its a frustrating time for us Canucks fans right now looking up at you Minnesotans gone Wild!

The majority of us are, yes. There are a couple who like to stir the pot (and we all know who they are), but the classy answerers outnumber the rude ones by far. I'm proud to be associated with you fine people.

Dang- everybody beat me to it....Yeah, we're small so the regulars all know each other. tis' nice to have that. I used to be over in the politics section, and besides all the trolls there, the most you would learn to recognize was somebody's name. Here you get to know people.

The hockey world is one of the least hostile sport communities! (I think golf still has us beat...it takes a lot to hold in your laughter when you see plaid flannel pants)
