I won nearly £2k about 3 years ago. Not sure if everyone will class that as serious money but it helped at the time and spent it in one day(was pretty busy). Was on a lucky dip. The only thing is I told the guy at the petrol station where I got the ticket I would give him half of my winnings. DID I GIVE HIM HALF THE ££££££??????

Ten years ago, a woman with whom I worked told me that her friend's mother (aged 75) in Cardiff had won £2.8 million on the Lottery and had given the ticket to her daughter in Bristol to claim the money for herself, because the mother had no use for it! Her daughter, a teacher in her forties, immediately gave up work.
The most I've ever won was £164 for 4 numbers in 1995.

I don't do the lottery but I do know a group of people at work, in a syndicate, who won a few thousand pounds each. And them there was another syndicate that spent more than they won.

Consider it as a charitable donation whenever you buy a lottery ticket, especially if the lottery is meant to benefit the community! Returns if any should be treated as sheer luck and charity in the reverse direction!
