We just recently found out that we are having a baby! We are due on May 3rd. The first month I didnt know I was pregnant. I do like to party and I was drinking a lot! As soon as I found out that I was preggo I quit drinking and everything. I am really worried that maybe my baby could have Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. I am going to ask my doctor at my next appoinment about it but some insight now would be nice so I stop worring about it! I am about 3 months now!

Any insight would be great!

there is always the possibility that your baby will have FAS, but a large majority of women drink during the first month or so of pregnancy without even knowing they are pregnant and their babies are fine, not to mention how many babies do you think are conceived under the influence of alcohol.
Don't worry i think everything will be fine.
Good Luck!

FAS is causes by drinking throughout the entire pregnancy. There are other alcohol related disorders that aren't very well known by most people, that are caused by less drinking, but chances are slim your baby would even have those.

Same thing happened to my wife with both of our kids....They have suffered no ill side effects....Don't let it get to you that will cause unneeded stress for you and the baby which can do more harm than good....The most important thing is you stopped as soon as you found out you were pregnant...Hope you have a healthy and happy baby!!
