It shouldn't matter. The doctor will usually tell you to wait a few months. That is so that you regulate your cycle and it will be easier to estimate your due date. Lots of people get pregnant the first month off of the pill. It won't hurt anything, they just will have you come in at around 10 weeks for a sonogram to confirm your due date. Some people don't start ovulating right after they get off the pill, but a lot do.

i fell straight away after coming of the pill when i was 24 but have you really thought this through because being a parent is hard work and takes full commitment and is not as easy as a lot of people may think, if you and your partner have a solid relationship and you are both willing to give this child your full commitment and love then i wish you both the very best of luck (just a bit worried for you dear as to the sudden change of heart after being on the pill for 6 months is it a rushed decision?).

I have also been trying to get prego as well and i have been on the b/c patch for about 6 years the dr have been telling me that it doesn't really make a difference if you have been on b/c or not and that those people that had fertility problems before b/c will likely be the ones that notice a delay in conception.I was also told by stopping the b/c it can make your body more fertile.

I'm in the same situation, although I've been on birth control for much longer. I just had this conversation with my doctor. He said its possible that I will get right away, but to wait a couple of months before I start to really "try."

Have you considered the responsibilities of having children? Why did you change your mind in just six months? This is probably not the best time for you to decide to have children.
