My boyfriend has just recently admited to having a gay experience with another couple, before we got it together. It was a married couple, although the man was bisexual. He said that he only gave the guy a BJ and visa versa but he didn't go any further. He said it was wrong for him and was just curious and now totally regrets it. He said that there were no kissing involved and that he never went all the way, he was more interested in the girl than the bloke. Could he be in denial?

He doesn't sound Bi to me, he sounds like a person who has an open mind and wanted to try a new experience. As with anything in life, how do we know for sure if we like something or not without trying it? It sounds to me like he was offered an experience, took it, and through it learned that is something he is not interested in. The fact that he would be so blatantly honest with you about it is awesome! More often than not straight men are homophobes who would NEVER admit to doing something like that!

I wouldn't worry about it and would consider yourself blessed that you have such an open and honest partner!

He experimented. He can only be bisexual if this is a regular occurance, the likes it and seeks this kind of relationship. To be Bi he has to have active relations with both males and females, not one or the other - Both. He will take it as it comes without bias or preferance.

You have to take him at his word for the moment. In future, his actions will speak much louder than words.

Actually, you should not worry about it or question it. Whatever he does is his choice. What is important for YOU, is that he cares about you, and you like him as well. If he does have experiences with another guy - at least it is a guy. Above all don't feel threatened or jealous. that does not help either of you.

if he was honest enough to tell you about giving the guy a bj, then he's probably telling the truth about the other stuff. there are alot of men that are curious and experiment with the same sex...it doesn't make them gay or bi (unless they really liked it), it just means they wanted to explore their sexuality. nothing wrong with that.

Joanne, He might be. Only time will tell.

The main thing is: Will he totally commit to you no matter what his orienation is?

Perhaps only he knows what his true sexual orientation is.

Probably not. Why aren't you taking his word for it?
