For once human race will go back to the good old days!
Were there locks( ofcourse keys too) in those days to close the caves` massive doors? No. Locks and keys were the first inventions to start human greed and selfishness. Further , it also pushed man towards alienation of his fellowbeings . They were the reasons for class struggle, the rich and the poor , the higher caste and the lower.

Possibly they were the first ones to make God hang his head in shame for creating man.

No keys for secured buildings with locks' no car keys, airplane keys, keys to safes? That kind of thing?

It would be a great inconvenience and very costly to make those keys again.

The human race would survive.

Hehehe. It probably wouldn't make a lot of difference. About the best you can hope for from a keyed lock is that it will encourage your friends to stay honest ☺
