Because we lose Love
God has created, is running, and will destroy the Universe. God is the Origin and Destination of the Universe. God was, is, will be everywhere, God was never Created and will never die / be destroyed. God is beyond Life and Death. All religions of world teach human way to get close to God. You give your Best, God will give thy Best. Ask God for help and forgive, God will help and forgive you. Pray; Worship and Thank God for everything. Remember wherever there is Happiness in Life, there will be Sorrow. To get Happiness, you must master Sorrow. For Success in Life; Believe in Self and God, Learn from Past, Concentrate in Present, Plan for Future. Have control on, be the master of, not the slave of your body, senses, and mind. Purpose of this Life is to Gain and Share utmost Knowledge and Experience to differentiate and choose Right, Good, God against Wrong, Bad, Devil. Set your Desire level perfect or OK to be brave, no low to be coward, no high to be cruel. You have rights of Survival, Self Defence, and Freedom.

Because we have different concepts of what love is and Who God is.
As we are different and unique, yet created in His image and likeness, we are molded by our different cultures and hence, love differently.
We loose ourselves when we love because, the other takes precedence in our life, hence, we loose God because He found You to love!

Who says that god is love?
That is just some born-again Christian catch-phrase slogan. I don't know anyone who DOES think god is love.
And to lose something you have to have it in the first place. You can't lose what you have never had.

God is love and He / She never loses us.
When we are not in love and fail to love God, we lose God.
If we compare love to 'eye sight', as when we lose our sight we cant see anything, when we lose our love, we lose God. It will never mean that God lose us, because He/ She is Love and always loving. (As, though we are blind, others who have eye sight can see us). So soon regain the love...... then you can bond yourself with your God and feel God's love for you.

I don;t understand your question, what do you mean by "lose god"? (assuming you spelled lose incorrectly).
2nd of all, god is not love:
Exodus 15:3 The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name
3rd of all, god doesn't exist.
