I wonder how long it has to be. I dont have a monologue but I've auditioned using the witches from macbeth, great for showing voice range and cackles

ALL
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn, and cauldron bubble.

Second Witch
Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the cauldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt and toe of frog,
Wool of bat and tongue of dog,
Adder's fork and blind-worm's sting,
Lizard's leg and owlet's wing,
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.

ALL
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.

2 days later... How was the audition Britta?

Check out the writer of My Big Fat Greek Wedding. She may have some stuff published. Also, Cameron Mannheim may have some stuff available. She did monologues.

If you can pick one from a regular book, go find a copy of Patrick McManus' A Fine and Pleasant Misery (or any of his books, really.) Even the library would have them. Choose almost anything in there. He's a great humorist who writes in a chatty first-person style that lends itself beautifully to use as a monologue.

First of all, I don't believe you are reading for a movie, because they never have you do monologues. So Who is trying to scam you? Please write and tell me for whom the audition is (the name of the company). I can save you lots of misery, if it is a known scam.
